hot dog

I am not as good at keeping up with this blog as I wanted to be. Of Coarse this is by far my busiest work season and I feel like I am living on the computer when I am not behind the camera. So little extras like family blogging, face book and PERSONAL email gets put to the side.

ok so Shane is out of town for work. It is just me and the kids home. So last night I thought I would do a simple"Kid" dinner. So we had hot dogs and mac and cheese. This morning Seth tells me he needs a hot dog for breakfast.

7:15 am Saturday morningg

Seth: Mom, I am hungry, I need a hot dog.

Me: For breakfast?

Seth: yep because I was still hungry last night so I need another hot dog.

Me:ok Seth but I think a hot dog for breakfast is kind of gross.

Seth: well, (he always says well) it is not.

 

oh yeah and he had to eat it with a pair of tongs.

Me: Seth quit spying on the neighboors.

Seth: but I want to spy on them.

 

board

One thing that drives me crazy is when my kids complain to me that they are board. In a house filled with six kids there is always something that needs to be done. so if one of my children start complaining they are board to me I give them a chore to do to cure the boardness. For instants.

"Mom I'm board."

"Great, grab a rag and the windex and wipe down the mirrors in the bathroom"

or

"go make sure your room is cleaned"

or

"empty the dishes in the dish washer"

etc... you get the idea.

Caleb: Mom, I hate to be the one to tell you this but you N-E-E-D to know. The ideas you come up with for us to do when we are board, really are not that much fun.

On a roll

It is official. She is a roller! She can roll both, front to back and back to front.

She is just growing so darn fast. slow down baby slow down.

 

  

 

under the weather

This week I have been sick. Wednesday was my worst day with a high fever. Thank God Shane was home to help me out. When the kids got home from school I was laying down for a rest.

Hannah: mom why are you sleeping?

Me: oh honey mommy is not feeling well.

Hannah: can I feel your chin?

Me: My chin? Why?

Hannah: At school if we tell my teacher we do not feel well, she always ask to feel our chin. If it is hot enough then we got to go home.

bad words

Seth: Mom, is relax a bad word?

Me: nope "relax" is a GOOD word.

Seth:We should not say bad words. Right mommy?

Me: You are right Seth, we should not say bad words.

Seth: and we should always brush our teath!

druged

Caleb has always had asthma but lately it seems to be really bad. So I took him to the Dr. Later Caleb told grandma (my mom) What happened at the Dr.'s office.

Grandma: Caleb how was the Dr's?

Caleb: Fine, I had to have a breathing treatment but it did not work so I had to have another one. Then that one worked.

Grandma: so are you feeling better.

Caleb: yep, then the Dr. drugged me.

Me: Not drugged you. He gave you a steroid, for your lungs.

Caleb: yeah, he gave me a stereo.

Baptized

The kids are getting baptized tonight. After church this morning, we went to McDonald's for lunch. (something we do most every Sunday)

Hannah: "Mom is tonight the night we get in the pool and give our lives to Jesus?"

Liam, Seth and Hannah were talking.

Seth: Where did we come from?

Hannah: We came from our mom.

Laim: No, Hannah we came from God.

Seth: Who did God make first? Dad's or Mom's?

Hannah: Dad's I think, and then Mom's

Liam: Yep, because God knew we needed Moms!

Seth is in pre-school now and is really into singing little pre-school songs. Today her was singing twinkle twinle little star.

Seth: Twinkle twinkle little star....Wine-O Wine-O's What you are.
